Three crosses on a hill, Hickory Flats, Webster County, West Virginia, USA. Bernard Coffindaffer, who made millions in the coal industry, spent his millions and the last nine years of his life erecting three crosses in several states acrsss America. Coffindaffer was from Craigsville, West Virginia and thus his home state hosts the greatest number of crosses with more than three hundred locations within the state. The crosses may be found in 29 states and two foreign countries.
