Gateway Arch, St Louis, Missouri: one of the most recognized landmarks in the United States, the arch is part of the Jefferson Expansion National Memorial and commemorates the vision of President Thomas Jefferson and St. Louis' role in the westward expansion of the US. The arch is 630 feet high and 630 feet wide at the base. It is the tallest monument in the US, as well as being Missouri's tallest accessible building.
